Aquanet Consulting Ltd is a specialist consultancy created in 2007, based in Wellington, Palmerston North, and Christchurch. We provide a range of scientific, technical, and project management services, with a key focus on the application of freshwater quality and ecology science to and resource management processes such as environmental monitoring and reporting, policy development and resource consent applications. Aquanet Consulting Ltd also provide water quality and ecological (algae, fish, macroinvertebrates) monitoring services, and operate a laboratory for the processing of macroinvertebrate samples.

Our technical and science team has extensive experience in preparing and reviewing resource consent applications for a wide range of activities potentially affecting water quality and ecology, including as technical experts in Council-level, Environment Court, and Board of Inquiry hearings.

In resource consent processes we routinely provide technical advice to applicants, consenting authorities, and submitters. This experience means we are able to approach the review of consent applications in a comprehensive, balanced and pragmatic manner.

Aquanet Consulting Ltd works across New Zealand, giving us a wide perspective and detailed working knowledge of many regional policy statements and regional plans nationally.
